Signals HubYour hotel revenue inbox
Competitor pricing, availability shifts, forecast changes. Signals watches all of it and tells you what needs attention first.
What manual monitoring misses.
Checking rates a few times a day catches the obvious. Signals never stops looking, and spots what you can’t.
Competitor moves.
Spotted instantly.
Rate Radar Signals
When fresh competitor rates arrive, the system checks every date for significant price movements and availability shifts. Each signal tells you what changed, by how much, and what to consider.
A competitor changed their rate by a significant amount. Larger moves get the highest severity scores.
A competitor sold out or is down to their last few rooms. Low availability is an early warning that displaced demand is heading your way.
When 3 competitors all raise rates for the same date, that’s a stronger market signal than a single property moving.
Not just ahead or behind.
The full picture for every date.
Every future date is measured against your budget and placed into one of five categories. When a date changes category, a signal fires and tells you exactly what kind of problem - or opportunity - you need to address.
Comfortably beating target. Push rates further if demand supports it.
Tracking above target. Monitor, don’t discount.
Roughly where expected. No corrective action needed.
A pricing problem, not a demand problem. Guests are booking, just not at the right rate.
Both demand and value are weak. Highest priority for corrective action.
Forecaster Signals Advanced
Forecast signals fire when a date moves between categories, giving you early warning and the context to act.
Spend your time where it counts.
Each signal is scored on how much changed and how tight the market is. The rest is handled by proximity and priority filters.
These need attention today. Imminent dates with significant competitive moves, forecast issues, or dates where you’re nearly sold out.
Important but not urgent. Worth reviewing in your next planning session. The opportunity is real, but you have breathing room to decide your next move.
No action needed right now, but worth knowing. Longer-term trends, new promotions, and market shifts that could shape future decisions.
“Our team wasted hours each day just pulling data from multiple tools. Beacon gives us the answer in seconds and spots opportunities we would never have seen.”
Signals FAQs
The Signals Hub is Beacon’s alert system. It watches your pricing data, competitor activity, and forecast performance around the clock, then shows you what needs your attention, ranked by urgency. Instead of manually scanning 365 days of data, Signals does the monitoring for you.
Signals come from three sources: competitor price movements (when a competitor changes rates by a significant amount), availability changes (when competitors sell out or are down to their last few rooms), and forecast performance (when your forecast revenue vs budget category changes). Each signal tells you what happened and how to act.
Each signal is scored 0–10 based on the size of the change, availability pressure, forecast category, and number of competitors affected. Signals are then filtered by how far away the date is. Imminent dates show all signals, while dates further out only show high-severity ones. Finally, each signal is assigned High, Medium, or Low priority.
Every future date is assessed against your budget and placed into one of five categories: Strong (7%+ above budget), Ahead (3–7% above), On-track (within 3%), Soft (revenue below budget but occupancy on target, a pricing problem), and Behind (both revenue and occupancy below budget, needs corrective action).
Signals regenerate automatically at two points: when fresh competitor rates arrive (a Rate Radar update), and when a date’s forecast category changes. You don’t need to manually refresh. They recalculate whenever the underlying data changes.
Yes. The Signals Hub has filter buttons to toggle between All, High, Medium, and Low priority. Each filter shows a count of signals in that category, so you can quickly see how many require immediate attention.
